Named after the Indian word for "winding river", Niakwa is located in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba along the Seine river. Built in 1923, the course is situated on the Canadian prairie. Many Canadian Pro Golf Association tournaments have been played here as well as the U.S. PGA tour.
Three of the holes, 12 ,13 and 15, make up the famed "Horn". Playing the horn can be most challenging as one has to keep in mind the river on one side of the fairway as well as numerous trees. Even the many Pros that have played this course have found the "Horn" to be unforgiving.
The course length is 6452 yards from the Blues with a par 72.
